In east central Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Seminole. In southeast Oklahoma, Johnston. In southern Oklahoma, Carter, Garvin, Jefferson, Murray and Stephens. In southwest Oklahoma, Caddo. * WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected this evening and tonight. Special Weather Statement issued June 4 at 1:30AM CDT by NWS Norman OK At 130 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 4 miles southwest of Seminole to 3 miles north of Anadarko. Movement was southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Southeastern Norman, Ada, Chickasha, Blanchard, Seminole, Anadarko, Pauls Valley, Purcell, Holdenville, Noble, Slaughterville, Wewoka, Lindsay, Lexington, Goldsby, Stratford, Konawa, Maysville, Rush Springs, and Byng. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
