Flood Watch issued June 9 at 4:16AM CDT until June 9 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Springfield MO * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas, including the following areas, Bourbon, Cherokee and Crawford and Missouri, including the following areas, Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Maries, McDonald, Miller, Morgan, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon, St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster and Wright. * WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rainfall has fallen across portions of the area Saturday evening into early this morning with rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches occurring across portions of the area. Ongoing flooding is occurring within these area that have received the heavy rainfall. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will be possible.
