Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued June 18 at 2:12AM CDT until June 18 at 9:00AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 432 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MINNESOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AITKIN CROW WING IN NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA CASS ITASCA KOOCHICHING IN NORTHEAST MINNESOTA CARLTON ST. LOUIS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AITKIN, BRAINERD, CASS LAKE, CLOQUET, DULUTH, EAST GULL LAKE, ESTERDY, GRAND RAPIDS, INTERNATIONAL FALLS, LAKE SHORE, PINE RIVER, SCHLEY, AND WALKER. THIS ALSO INCLUDES THE TRIBAL LANDS OF THE FOND DU LAC BAND, CLOQUET DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, SAWYER DISTRICT, THE FOND DU LAC BAND, BROOKSTON DISTRICT, THE MILLE LACS BAND, BIG SANDY LAKE AND, EAST LAKE AREAS AND THE BOIS FORTE BAND, LAKE VERMILION, , NETT LAKE AND, DEER CREEK AREAS.

Flood Watch issued June 18 at 3:51AM CDT until June 19 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Duluth MN * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...In Minnesota, in north central Minnesota, Koochiching, North Cass and Itasca Counties. In northeast Minnesota, central and northern St. Louis County. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Bois Forte Band, Lake Vermilion, Nett Lake and, Deer Creek areas. Recreation spots such as Voyageurs National Park. This also includes the Boundary Waters western area. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms are expected to bring heavy rain today, with localized areas receiving up to 1 to 3 inches of rain. This will fall on top of already saturated soils and rivers with normal to above normal streamflow.
