Portage Lake to Huron Island MI to Lower Entrance of Portage Canal To Huron Islands MI Including Keweenaw and Huron Bays... At 1142 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 10 nm south of The Huron Islands to 12 nm east of Detroit Island, moving northeast at 50 knots. Locations impacted include... Shot Point, Little Presque Isle, Shelter Bay, Grand Island, Au Train Island, The Huron Islands, Miners Castle, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Stannard Rock, Laughing Whitefish Point, Granite Island, and Granite Point.
