Sleeping Bear Point to Grand Traverse Light MI... At 107 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 nm west of Naubinway to 9 nm northwest of Big Rock Point to Portage Lake, moving northeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Waugoshance Point, South Fox Island, Good Hart, Northport, Empire, Glen Arbor, Point Betsie, Epoufette, Portage Lake, North Manitou Island, Sturgeon Bay, Norwood, Naubinway, Harbor Springs, Cross Village, Point Aux Chenes, Williamsport, Brevort, South Manitou Island, and Cat Head Point. Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
