Heat Advisory issued June 13 at 1:56AM PDT until June 13 at 6:00AM PDT by NWS Hanford CA * WHAT...Temperatures in the 90s this evening slowly lowering overnight. * WHERE...San Joaquin Valley and adjacent foothills from Fresno County to Kern County, as well as the Kern River Valley. * WHEN...Until 6 AM PDT early this morning. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very warm overnight temperatures will keep heat stress impacts probable. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
