Red Flag Warning issued June 8 at 2:19PM AKDT until June 9 at 9:00PM AKDT by NWS Fairbanks AK * AFFECTED AREA...South Slopes Of The Central Brooks Range, Upper Koyukuk Valley, Dalton Highway Summits, Yukon Flats, White Mountains and High Terrain South of the Yukon River, Fortymile Country, Upper Tanana Valley, Delta Junction, Upper Chena River Valley, Tanana Flats, Eielson AFB and Salcha, Goldstream Valley and Nenana Hills, Chatanika River Valley, Two Rivers, Fairbanks Metro Area, Nenana, Central Interior, Northern Denali Borough and Eastern Alaska Range North of Trims Camp. * TIMING...Until 9 PM AKDT Sunday. Conditions improve this evening and then redevelop late Sunday morning, continuing into Sunday evening. Winds look to be weaker on Sunday everywhere, with the strongest winds persisting from the White Mountains northward. * WINDS...East 15 to 25 mph. Gusts to 40 mph this evening. * HUMIDITY...As low as 19 percent. * TEMPERATURES...Highs in the low 80s. * IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be possible. A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous fires.
