For the Brazos River...including US 59, Sugar Land, TX, West Columbia, Bryan, Hempstead, Bellville, San Felipe, Richmond, Rosharon...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Brazos River near West Columbia. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 26.0 feet, Moderate flooding continues as widespread county road flooding occurs. State Highway 35 is close to being threatened if soils are saturated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 25.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 AM CDT Tuesday was 25.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.6 feet late tomorrow evening. - Flood stage is 23.0 feet. - Flood History...No available flood history. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
