Coastal Waters from Boothville LA to Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River out 20 nm... Coastal Waters from Port Fourchon LA to Lower Atchafalaya River LA out 20 nm... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM... At 1257 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a cluster of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This cluster of thunderstorms is generally located along a line extending from 12 nm east of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port to 9 nm southwest of Eugene Island 306, moving east at 80 knots. Mariners can expect widespread gusty winds to around 30 knots, higher waves, small hail and dangerous lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this activity passes. Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
